Were you tested for insulin resistance prior to being put on metformin as it is not licenced in the UK for pcos but is for diabetes/IR (which lots of pcos ladies are)?

I assume provera is the pill/something hormonal. i was told by a doctor that you can be on metformin and the pill at the same time. Metformin just alters your response to insulin. if you are in doubt you could always ask a pharmacist or just ask your GP?
