I would definitely consider Yasmin. I was on Yasmin until May last year, I came off to try for a baby and within weeks I had very bad skin- oily and acne!! Over the weeks it got worse and I also noticed hair growth in unusual places and my periods disappeared so I went to doctors and got diagnosed PCOS. Basically the Yasmin pill masked any symptoms of it for years hence why I did not know until last sari had it.
They gave me a gel for my spots called Duac, took a while to work but it really did clear my face up I still have spots as my hormones are off the charts but it helped eventually. They tried me on antibiotics for it too but they made me very ill so gave up on them. There is more you can try if your not wanting to conceive so I had limited options but it's worth asking about.
But for me Yasmin was brill and I have been tempted to just give up and go back on it but the past year would be a wasted effort trying to have a baby lol.
I find Cod Liver Oil tablets work well for my skin , completely natural too.
I have pcos but wouldn't say I have acne, just a few break outs every now and then - nothing too severe to label as acne.
I find the garnier skin active range good for my skin, affordable as well.
They have so many types of face washes, from pore exfolliating washes or just general, maybe give them a go if you don't want to take any perscribed pills from the doc x
Yasmin is good for controlling the majority of pcos symptoms, I have been on it for years and it keeps all my symptoms at bay. There is no reason why you should put on weight either, I actually find my body more 'normal' when trying to lose weight so it is easier than not being on it.
my skin reacted to all the strong creams from the doctor and have tried a lot of things! Le Roshe-Posey has worked really well for me, the efficlair duo+ and the anti-imperfection corrector in particular. You can get it in boots and its affordable. I also found the pill has helped with my PSOS symptoms and think its worth trying, your unlikely to put on weight or get worse but if for some reason you do then that is the great thing about there being different ones you can try until you find the one that suits you
Hi. I have quite bad acne when off the pill, so much so that the last time I came off the pill I went back on it to clear up my skin. Have now decided to come off the pill for good. I stopped taking it in December 2016 and the acne came back quickly. This time I've been using the dermalogica skin care products and I'm really pleased with the difference they're making. Still have some spots but nowhere near as many as before and it seems to be getting better and better as time goes on. I buy the products through John Lewis online and just pick up from the local store or local Waitrose as it's easy that way
It's better to ask advice from cosmetologist or dermatologist. I had bad skin too + it's extremely oily. My cosmetologist prescribed me a few peeling procedures and advised me to buy a machine on bimedis.com/search/search-i... so I can do it at home. In such way I saved a lot of money and these procedures are not so painful as peelings.
