Last chemo treatment last week and still on prednisone 5mg daily along with many other pills. If anyone else has/had pericarditis how long did take to recover or did you recover? What medications did you take?
Thank you for your replys

Hi Bella,
I do not have WG I have PAN. I have had recurring Pericarditis (I have also had Bornholm Disease, which is very similar). The longest that it has stayed is around 4 months. Despite the fact that I am on Warfarin, I was told to take Ibuprofen and that eases the symptoms.
I have GPA (WG), I had pericarditis shortly after being diagnosed, and have had a couple of times when it has returned. The first time they treated me with high dose steriod infusions, but the subsequant times they let it clear up on its own as it was not as bad as before. It was just a case of rest and pain relief. For me it seems to be one of the symptons of the disease. I hope you feel better soon.

Thank you for your reply. My husband had pericarditis last winter when he got sick before he was diagnosed with GPA(WG) it took 3 an 1/2 months of being in the hospital for them to find out what his problem was and this is the third time in less then a year that he has gotten pericarditis but this time it is very painful everytime he moves plus he can't sleep that is the worst part. Again thank you for your infor.
