cutaneous vasculitis - serous drainage

At the weekend I knocked off a new scab on my right foot. I have since intermittently had a clear lliquid dripping from the site. This is the third time in the past year this happened. I looked it up and it looks as though it could be serous drainage. It was v. alarming the first time it happened, but not so much now. Has anyone else experienced this - if so, I would be pleased to hear what you did to stop it. It's another thing I've got to put up with. I am worried about going out in case it happens while I am out, because it 's quite a lot of liquid and my slipper gets wet v. quickly. Thanks.

That suggests that you're getting swelling of the legs for which elevation might help whenever you are at home and can do that.

It would be worth asking the tissue nurse at the GP surgery for advice both for how to heal it up and what to do to prevent the discharge (which keeps it open). They usually have someone with special training as ulceration and discharge become increasingly common as we age.
