2nd Rheumatology appointment

Forgot to ask about the results of the last set of bloods they did. DOH.

A younger doctor this time who was highly pleased with me for the symptom diary, quick recap of my medical history and family medical history. He even asked to keep it after a quick read of it and made bullet point notes in my folder.

He looked at my different rashes, asked lots of questions about them, my nasal problems and then kept listening to my heart ( 3 times). Was also amazed at how a GP diagnosed me with Asthma and put me on inhalers.

Had to do 2 urine samples and yet more bloods, this time not only for the usual suspects but also for, Cryoproteins, complement c3 c4 and serum protein electrophoresis. I have also got to have 2 scans one for the face and one for the chest.

He doesn't want to prescribe anything yet and wants to see me in 8-10 weeks. Oh he is also referring me to ENT to find out what if anything is going on there.

So the saga goes on.

Hi

He sounds like he's been quite thorough. Please can I ask where you are being seen.

Thanks

Sarah

Hi, yes you can ask, it was Coventry (UHCW). At the moment I'm putting it down to the fact he's young and not so jaded if thats the right word as the older chap. Mind you at the first appointment with the older one I was feeling ill and not a happy bunny and almost threw up in front of him. He looked most alarmed and almost ran out of the room. How does he think I felt at that moment, me and nausea are not good companions.

Not what you're looking for?
