Back pain

Had my 5/6 rituximab infusion in April.  Woke up today and my back was in agony, lumbar area is horrendous,  now on ibuprofen, cocodamol and diazepam.  No injury, lifting or anything. Anyone else had any back pain post infusion?  It's listed as a side effect.

Interesting, as I had my worst back episode ever about four months after starting rituximab. I never thought of connecting the two! I crept around for ages on cocodomol, but eventually recovered and have been fine since.

I talked to Stella at Addenbrookes at some point - I was concerned about the painkillers that I was taking - but the only thing she connected to was the prednisone dose I was on. She thought it would take some time to recover because of the effect that steroids can have on muscles.

I hope the painkillers are working and that you're able to move about.

I think this may have been talked about in the Facebook group too. I will check.
