My boyfriend was diagnosed with Wagner gl he has been in chmo for about 6 mo on and off due to respiratoru infections....Im not sure how to help him...please advise ...help!

This is a difficult one but a good start would be a 'good measure' of love, and re-assurance. Clearly you, very much, love your boy friend, else you wouldn't be writing to us here (which is, by any measure, a very good start).

I was on chemo myself, when I was first diagnosed-seventeen years ago mind-as I have ANCA vasculitis. My vasculitis attacked my heart, brain and kidneys, I had a kidney transplant eighteen months ago. My left eye was also affected and inflammation, that shows as redness, is a good indicator of 'trouble brewing', as it were.

You don't mention which hospital you are under, or indeed, which area you live in but can you get to Addenbrooke's Hospital Cambridge? Dr David Jane, the leading expert on 'all things' vasculitis, is based there-he is also an advisor to 'Vasculitis UK', our sister organisation. I have opted to stay under his care despite now being treated, for post-transplant' care, at Ipswich Hospital.

In any event please do let us know how your boy friend gets on, will you please.
