Hey everyone. I just wanted some advise, I have got mild vasculitis spots, and they itch so bad. I am on Hydroxychloraquin and fexofenadine and pregabaline. Is there a ointment or cream anyone can recommend I ask for? I have more on my back and this is the start before they cover me. Please see picture. Thanks x

Spot rash
Hi, is this what vasculitis spots look like? As i have these all the time!
I don't know what my diagnoses are yet but wondering if I have bechets as i have all the symptoms and get the pathergy reaction when I have injections.
My weird skins seems along the lies of vasculitis or bechets.
Just saw your picture and it's like I have all on my legs and arms so was interested.
Hope someone else can answer the question u were posting to ask!
I think it is. I only get the spots on my back, chest and face. On my legs I get bruising rash thing. My dermatologist and rheummy just say it's all part of it blah blah. They have not been able to diagnose me with one autoimmune condition as apparently I have a mixture. I just want some suggestions for the shots.
I get these spots if I reduce my plaquenil (Hydroxychloroquine). my spots disappear when I increase my plaquenil.
I have tried cammomile cream which didn't help with the itch for me but I did find that emollient cream used for eczema helped, (E45, Oilatum) both available from the chemist. Check they won't interfere with any other medications you take though. The emollient can be purchased as a bath oil which helps if you need to apply to your back or hard to reach places.
If that doesn't work then corticosteroids via doctor might be the way to go.
Hope this helps,
Ally
My daughter gets the bruising type of rash, she finds good old fashioned Calamine lotion the most soothing thing for her.
Dear xliddybx-interesting name,
I can only really echo what has been said above- with maybe a suggestion that you speak to a qualified pharmacist. The one at my 'chemists' is very good, not that I get many-if any-'rashes', but he has a good understanding of my general condition; just a thought.
I think that I can say, on behalf of us all, sorry to hear that you are suffering so and that we all wish you better soon.
Hope to hear from you, with happier news soon-very best wishes

Hi
I have a vasculitis rash, not quite the same as yours but my GP prescribed me steroid cream in addition to my other meds from the hospital. Might be worth a try.

Hi there. The only other thing I can suggest asking your gp about is trying one of the more sedating anti-histamines.
I have urticarial Vasculitis and have been through various treatments but have found some success with hydroxyzine and chlorphenamine.
You have to be careful with them though with regards driving, operating machinery, alcohol and so on. I did build up a tolerance to them over time though, but initially started taking them only at night.
Other than that steroid creams, petroleum barrier creams helped a little. X
