How long have you been on your present dose? Your GP may believe the are fine as they are in range.
You say you are 'pretty rough'. Dr Toft ex of the British Thyroid Association says that some need to have a suppressed TSH to feel well or the addition of some T3. If you would like a copy of the Pulse Online article to send to your GP before your next appointment and refer to question 6, email louise.warvill@thyroiduk.org.
Hi As Shaws says you may well need some T3 on script. You need to have a Free T3 test, some NHS will not do it. Some GP`s will arrange it from their Lab for about £10. others ,like me have to pay through the site or it.thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/te. You need enough treatment to fell well. If the FT3 is near the top of range ,then look at associated blood tests such as Vit d, Ferritin/iron , B12 and filic acid and Glucose, a lot are hormonal and some autoimmune.if you see an endo, they should automatically do all these tests.
