Can anyone help just got my blood test results and my medication has been increased to 200 mg my results are Serum tsh level 9.66 mu/L (0.27-4.2( and my serum free t4 level is 14.4 pmol/L (12-22) Does this explain my complete exhaustion. Lack of sleep and 2 stone weight gain. So down at the moment would appreciate any advice. Thanks xx

Try and get a copy of your results..you are entitled to them but some surgeries try and make it difficult. Often the ranges are very broad and whilst a GP will say you are fine, being in the lower end of ranges when it comes to Ferritin, B12, vit D etc.. can make a huge difference to how you feel. x

Start a new post tomorrow with your results and hopefully members will be able to give you some more advice :-)

Just 'in range', isn't the same as 'optimal'. Do you have the results to share with us?

Nothing has ever been said to me about Cortisol 😢

Your GP is unlikely to look into that for you. Get your basic blood tests sorted first..hopefully get medication sorted either by GP or by yourself if you have to and see how you feel. If you are still having problems then look into cortisol..one thing at a time ;-)
