However they also contain vit A C E and D, so maybe thats why the dose is 1 a day, would the be any risks in me taking 2 a day? would it be advisable?

Without knowing the dosages of the other vitamins, and without knowing your personal medical history, it is difficult to tell. Vitamin A can be harmful if you take too much and I imagine the same is true of vitamin E as it fat soluble, but I don't know how much "too much" is and I suspect that would partly depend on your physical health.

Provided 2 tablets doesn't take you above the safe limit for all these vitamins you should be ok, as long as you don't have any conditions that would cause a problem (kidney disease, for example), but it is best to do a little research :)

Thanks, I dont have any other health issues other than hypothyroidism, 125 mcg of levothyroxine daily, but still suffer bloating and several aches and pains. Perhaps I will just stick to the one a day to be safe and increase my selenium through food, one portion of chicken apparently contains 44 % of your daily allowance and I eat that at least 3 times a week, thanks for the advice :)

I have read somewhere (don't know where - at the moment don't know much LOL) that selenium taken as a supplement is not well absorbed, better to have a few brazil nuts which I believe contain good amounts of selenium. x

Brazil nuts are a good source for selenium 3 a day and much nicer than pills :)

That's what I do :) I think there is a little in my multivitamin/mineral supplement but not much. I love nuts.
