Hi ive been taking NAX and didnt notice any sleep issues...Dr P recommends that they are taken before 2pm if possible so they arent stimulating the adrenal s too close to bedtime.....whats happening to your sleep pattern and when do you take them? Have you got thyroid issues too as this will disrupt sleep?

Hi If thyroid definitely OK , which I found stopped me sleeping, then, try Asphalia, WEB ,which I found very good. Nothing else worked. Interesting that the recent program BBC, did not mention thyroid, when, we all know the connection.

Hi Jackie
I have recently been diagnosed with underactive thyroid and was prescribed 25mg thyroxine. I've been on it since 3rd october and at first it was OK but I now find myself unable to sleep more than a few hours a night. this is very detrimental to my work, life and mental health so I've decided to stop taking thyroxine. Hope I'm doing the right thing...
Hi It sounds very much like you are under dosed.Especially as the thyroxine helped at first. it is normal to gradually improve the thyroxine dose ,according to how one feels and the blood results, important that you have TSH T4 and Free T3. if GP will not do enough or all of them there are alternatives if able to pay through TUK. Blue Horizon do an intermediate test to include these for about £ 61, £ 10 off the £70 with TUK, quote TUK 10.You can then show them to the GP. well known lab TDL If GP prescribed the thyroxine you must have needed it, often the reverse is true!!.Ask the receptionist for a print out of your last results, make sure you ask it to include ranges as all Labs different. i hope this helps.
