I am going to book this pretty soon and wondered how people get on with finger pricks for thyroid tests? I tried a Medicheck one for active B12 and just could not get enough blood. Is this common? Any tips?
Thanks, as ever 💐💐

For me, being well hydrated is key- drink more water day before test. I also need to do a bit of exercise- running up and down the steps works for me!
I agree with Buddy195 make sure you are well hydrated the day before. I have a good long drink of water before I start, I like to be nice and warm and do something to get my heart pumping - run up and down stairs a couple of times, jogging on the spot plus a few start jumps then I soak my hands in warm water for a while before I start.
Standing up while doing it also helps alot.
Drink plenty day before
Exercise for 10-15 mins
Hand in hot water 5 mins
Windmill arms
Stand up
Prick finger - twist as pricker goes in -
Prick not at top of finger but approximately half way down nail - at side of finger
