These are my latest NHS blood test results ordered by the endo who refused to use the ones I had done by Medichecks. They were taken at around 8.30am just over a week ago. I wonder whether you could please cast your eyes on them and advise what you think they might indicate (i.e whether still an indication of Hashi or not):
TSH: 3.73 miu/L (0.34-5.6)
Free T4: 7.1 pmol/L (7.7-15.1) - below range
Free T3: 6.9 pmol/L (4.3-6.8) - above range
Thanks all in advance
NB - he didn't order a thyroid peroxidase (TPO) antibodies test, but the last two I've had done have been significantly over range.

if the previous positive tests for high TPO were on the NHS - you are already diagnosed as having Hashimoto's and these bloods show that you now need help and treatment.
Your TSH hasn't reached to dizzy heights of 5 or 10 - but your T3 and T4 results are inverted - showing your thyroid struggling, your body stressed as you haven't enough T4 circulating in your blood stream to maintain a good level of T3 which should be sitting in % terms behind the T4.
Logical next step I would think is to start a prescription for T4 - Levothyroxine to increase your T4 level circulating in your blood and ease off the pressure created within by trying to function with inverted T3 and T4 blood tests.
Ideally the T3 result sits tucked just behind the T4 result showing you have some spare capacity of T4 to convert into T3 as and when needed.
With inverted T3 and T4 readings - the body has no reserves of thyroid hormones to pull on and in effect you feel you are running on ' empty and in overdrive ' with limited thyroid function and unable to support your body's needs.
The endo refused to help me, he said it could be anything causing my symptoms, refused to accept Hashimoto's. He specialises in diabetes, so I wasn't surprised. The only thing he offered was a cortisol test which I declined, told him he was wasting my time, and I walked out.
I am currently trying to source a different endo 🙁
Yes, I do. There are none nearby. The one I was looking at appears to be a thyroid surgeon rather than endo. The only other one within a 60 mile radius works with the endo I just had...so I'm not keen on approaching that route, as there's a photo of them both online laughing together...😞
i think many still do video consults - so distance need not be the problem -
What about starting a new post asking for Recommendations and give your preferred area ?

I've done that, thank you 🙂. I'm not very hi-tech, so would prefer in-person. Made appt with GP to discuss, but couldn't get appt until middle of March 😞
