I have been in contact with Roseway labs to enquire about t3 medication, hoping that it might help with increasing my t3 levels as recommended on here. However, Roseway have come back saying I would have to be prescribed t3 by one of the clinics they work with. She has given me list of three prescribers and I was wondering whether this is how everyone else who has been in contact with Roseway labs, managed to source their T3 medication. I am assuming I would be paying for the consultation with these private doctors.

There have been a few queries recently about Roseway’s service on the Forum. They now say on their website you need an endocrinologist to initially prescribe T3. Their prescribers seem to be only GPs but this may have changed. Initial contact is much cheaper than an endo but if you get an initial prescription from an endo it seems (after also getting a consult with one of their own prescribers) T3 is still available and can be ‘repeated’. No idea about quantities you can order though, from one consultation. If you need a lot of T3 this might not be the road to go down.

If you query this further it would be good to report your experience back to the Forum.

Yes, the prescribers are specialists in endocrinology. I wouldn’t mind having one appointment and then being prescribed t3 as long as it helps with my results. I will contact roseway labs and see if they have any understanding of how much the consultation might be.

I am happy to share the list on this forum if it is allowed.

I use Roseway regularly,

20mcg x100 Thybon Henning costs me £75. They have changed the way they handle inquiries now, you can’t initiate a T3 trial with them any more. But they can dispense your Endos prescription or continue repeat prescriptions without the need for a endo. So still a significant saving. They used to initiate prescriptions, but that has changed.

I am a massive fan, they really look after me, super kind and helpful with email support eg letters for GP to explain suppressed TSH. They are careful to monitor blood test results but take symptoms into account when discussing what is best. They also supply NDT.

They are however victims of their own success, a small team and very very busy.

They have private specialists that they recommend for all manner of medical conditions, they will be practitioners who use them to dispense prescriptions. If they aren’t Endos they will be functional medicine doctors and private GPs who I believe can also privately prescribe T3/NDT. I think it’s only NHS GPs who can’t precribe it).

Yes I think this is all useful info for those on the forum that may at some point need T3 and can't get it prescribed through the NHS.

The endo hospital clinical I attend has already told me they will not prescribe T3 (I didn't even ask about it 🤷🏻‍♂️) It was like the endo wanted to get in there first. It made me laugh quietly to myself.

totallyFrustrated I'm tagging you incase this post is helpful for you. I read your post earlier.

Can you no longer use the initial prescriber service for £55 to get a prescription for T3?

I was just curious if I ever need to use it in the future.

Thanks

No, unfortunately that service is no longer available. If you had seen them and trialed before the change they will continue to prescribe.

Do you have to get a private prescription from a specialist then to send to them?

What happens if you want it on repeat, do you have to keep going back to the private doctor for your next prescription?

This can get expensive.

Thanks

Just the first private prescription has to be with someone that isn’t them. They can take over repeats.

On this T3 topic, I get my Thybon Henning via my private Endo's prescription from Roseway. I was told at my appt in Jan he is retiring after my next appt in July/Aug. Would Roseway still continue my T3 through their own private service as already gave Endo prescription?? Thanks.

Yes I think so, but email them and double check in case anything changes.
