I take 75mcg of thyroxine and 10mcg of T3 split. I’m lactose free pescatarian and have been religiously taking vit D and B12 the latter only got into routine about 3/4 months ago so not doing to badly I thought. Folate had become really low after long term antibiotic use and I got it back up a while ago so only been taking it now and again for a top up. This is now I realise a mistake so I’ve ordered some new ones all according to advice from here.
The test was done as per recommendations.
B12 is from British Supplements called Clean B12 which has been raising my levels.
Thanks for replying and hope this covers everything.
You havent said what the timing was of your last dose before the test. How many hours before for levo & T3?
If you were able to take animal derived heme iron that would help your ferritin.
Usually a good methyl B complex is recommended which would include the rest of the B vitamin family that are all needed as they work together. Perhaps 1 of the igennus B complex a day might help raise your B12 a little further, also folate.
You probably need your FT4 higher so a dose raise of 25mcgs would help.
Thanks for comprehensive reply. I did timings as recommended here so that’s all good. Think I’ll try the B complex you suggest and I was thinking about raising my T4 a little, just wanted to check that’s a sensible move. I don’t know why I can’t get into a good routine with vitamins, maybe a tablet sorter just for the vits might help and the iron can be taken separately. Thanks again.
So with correct timing, FT4 needs to be higher so suggest you raise Levo by 25mcgs.
As your B12 level isnt high enough yet I would continue the current B12 supplement and add in a B complex. Just 1 tablet of the igennus might make all the difference.
I'm sure a pill organiser would help with remembering to take supplements.
