Hi. Just wondering if anyone else is on this batch of Thyroid S and if so, how are they finding it?
I've just started this batch and experiencing awful gastrics. Bloating due to painful flatulence and grinding feelings in stomach and abdomen due to the wind. No heartburn or indigestion as such. I also feel swelling in my fingers and head pressure. I am on 2.75 grains as this was the dose I took when I was on my previous '23' batch, which was a pretty good one. I've tried lowering it to 2.5 but fatigue creeps in. I am also feeling more irritable, but this could be a menopausal surge 😅.
I am trying different ways to take the NDT. I always split AM and PM as I can't tolerate the T3 all in one go. I have also tried having the PM dose just before going to bed to try and keep enough time between vits and supplements.
I certainly don't feel as well as my last batch.

There is a difference in the colour of the 24T01003. More green than the 23T01008 batch and much harder to chew. I am trialling probiotics (Lactobacillus Rhamnosus) as this is supposed to help with gut issues, but it's making no difference at all.
Two people are taking this batch in a WhatsApp group I'm in, which is specifically for those taking Thyroid-S. One of them queried it as she felt more tired than usual, another had been taking it for a while and said she felt good on it. The one who was tired seemed to have decided it was the result of being extra busy over Christmas. It hasn't been mentioned again since then and I haven't seen any mention of it anywhere else.
The green colour of some tablets seems to be in the coating, which is sometimes harder than it used to be. I had one tablet, of a 2023 batch, which I could only partly split with my usual pill splitter. A piece of the coating was left attached to a split piece of tablet, if that makes sense. I pulled it and it peeled off.
Your reaction is certainly not one I have read of anywhere, so I suggest you contact the manufacturer to report it. They should respond but may not, but it's always good to let them know!
Thanks. I have contacted the manufacturer in the past. I've been taking Thyroid S for years. Their reply about anything informational has been very unsatisfactory. BTW, is the Thyroid S WhatsApp group open to anyone, or a closed group?
I know what you mean, for a while the manufacturers were very helpful whenever I asked them about percentages in each batch, but recently have been a bit reluctant to engage! The WhatsApp group began a few years ago when it was very difficult to get Thyroid-S and continues mainly when people want details of new batches or have new symptoms. Anyone taking Thyroid-S can join by invitation and I'll PM you.
I am on batch 2004 and feel ill most of the time. After the 23 batches the Thyroid s changed.
I have no thyroid and had been taking them since 2016 and always felt well.
There was someone on this site that was taking your batch and felt the same as you but she has left the site now. She was taking 2.75 and still felt unwell.
Sorry cannot be of much help. I am still ill after 2.25 years.
What is your actual batch number Brightness14? I need to give the 24T01003 batch more time I think. If no joy, then I may have to try the Levo/T3 route, not overjoyed if I have to do that though.
My batch No is 23T01004 and it is not working well. After Covid the pill changed not only in colour but had a shiny appearance. The last day I felt well was 11.10.22 not good.
I had been on them for years with no thyroid. Anyway I have started on Levo at night plus T3 in the AM. I am lucky here in France my T3 is prescribed by my GP every month.
I aim to take 87.5 Levo and 25 T3 daily. watch this space.
I do know that I have actually thrown away three batches now. I hope that you can feel well on your batch. I don't know if you have any thyroid function but that would help too.
I also have a record of all my blood test results from when I felt well so aiming for this.
This is my first experience with S and I received 24T01001. I’m simultaneously on Acella NP, as I’ve been titrating up from the specialist’s throttle on my treatment. (Who cares if I cannot stay awake for more than a few hours at a time? Who cares if I’m green when I’m supposed to have an English rose-leaf complexion with pink blush? Who cares if the wheels are falling off my life? )
As far as I can tell, 24T01001 works like 60 mg Acella. No adverse effects to report.
On the other hand, I was concerned that the bottle hadn’t been sealed in the way that American manufacturers seal pharmaceuticals. Just a jar of pills stuffed in a printed box. It sort of brought back memories of the poisoned Tylenol of the last century.
Hiya RockyPath. It's one heck of a roller coaster ride this thyroid treatment malarkey. I've been on Thyroid S for years ( because it's cheaper than Armour & others, and you don't need a prescription). All the batches differ slightly in my experience and when you're used to one batch, heh ho, it's finished and a new batch is needed. My body seems to struggle with starting new batches and often I have to cut right back and start again on a low dose and work up. A right pain. Anyway, my issues could be getting used to the new batch or a flare up. If the 24 batches are coming up mostly positive, it must be just me and my wacky system. My batch is certainly greener and harder than my 23 batch.
It was after covid when the batches started to alter big time. I started a new batch in 2022 and withing 40 days I was falling down. Anyway, I took a blood test and it came back with my FT3 at only. 2.76. usually 6 plus.
Back in 2016 I used to take 2.5 then I went over range and for years was on 2.25 grains split am and pm.
There is someone on the site who has no thyroid and only takes 1.5 grains a day to feel well but this person probably has some thyroid gland left over. Who knows it's a minefield.
I haven't been for a walk for over two years and was an runner back in the day.
Hi, I started this batch on 9/1/25 and apart from a slightly harder shell, have not felt any different. I take 3 grains first thing in the morning. I noticed yet another hike in cost, and much more onerous system of paying, as they no longer accept PayPal. I also had an extra £20 charge 2 months later as for some reason I have to pay there bank charges too! Sadly there is no choice as it’s what I get on best with. Hope you feel better soon.
Thank you 1dolly. Yes, I agree, I was gutted with yet another obstacle in thyroid treatment by the new more expensive method of paying for it. PayPal made payment so easy and more accountable. My bank is 35 miles away, plus I too had bank charges for transferring the money, mine being £25. I am wondering if I may do better if I take my Thyroid S at night. I'm forever tweeking in the hope of being symptom free. Good to hear that you're doing well on the batch!
