Thyroid s different

I have been taking Thyroid s for about seven years now, always from the same supplier.

After receiving my latest batch the pills have changed colour. They have always

been a brown shade now they are pale green/cream, they are also smaller. The Batch Number

is T22006.. These also taste and smell different.

The batch prior to these was received on 5/10/21 TA 21015 and these were the normal colour

size etc.

My question is this has anyone taking these noticed a difference? I am still taking the old

batch at present.

Hello Brightness

Yes this has been well documented on thyroid website help lines:

The majority of those taking the new production of Thyroid S don't appear to have found any change in the actual strength medication -

I too am about start with the reformulated tablets.

Hi when you say reformulated what exactly has changed and do you know what it is.

The T3 and T4 content remain the same :

There was a post ages ago detailing everything in the new formulation but I can't remember - sorry:

Maybe email Sriprasit the manufacturers of Thyroid S and ask for a breakdown ??

OK Thanks I will try the new one for two weeks and see. I always feel good on my 2.25 grains but if not I lose £330 plus bank charges, a drop in the ocean for feeling well. I have plenty of Levo and T3 might have to change tact. At 76 years old I honestly don't like much change.

Yes, I understand - I'm just a year younger than you - fingers crossed for us both - that it'll be fine :

Like you I have purchased the new Thyroid S, which I plan to start taking on Monday, having used up my TRMann. I am wonderin how you manage 2.25 grains, do you quarter one of the tablets? (Similar age also I hit 70 two weeks ago, I also have Levothyroxine and T3 as a fall back.

I take 1.25 at 6am and another 1 at around 2pm. Yes I quarter them in my pill cutter. If I take 2.5 grains my FT3 is too high.

Thank you, I have never found pill cutters much good, and use a razor blade when necessary. Might give it a bash again, as have started to feel tired lately...

I have a good pill cutter most are useless but it's better with a craft knife. Anyway if I am careful the pills cut into quarters quite well, seven years practice.

I could do without any problems in my new batch as I have an appointment for ENT it couldbe compacted ear wax, I hope or a benign tumour. All my problems relate to my birth mother

all of us have problems. My adopted mother never had any and lived to 100 years.

If I have got to have brain surgery that would be the icing on the cake.
