She has looked and felt unwell for at least a year. Her face is very puffy and she gets a lot of bloating and digestive problems. She also has bad anxiety.
She’s just had an ultrasound and biopsy, no results yet.
Any comments on her results given the above. They look pretty good for someone on thyroid hormone replacement, but she’s not taking any.

Oh, that looks like Hashi's to me! She needs her antibodies tested, as SlowDragon says:
Her FT4 is very low, suggesting that she has been hypo for sometime, which would explain why she's felt unwell for some time. Hashi's can cause sudden surges of excess hormone when the immune system attacks the thyroid, so that would explain her high FT3, which is totally out of kilter with her FT4. BUT, her TSH is not that low, which suggests that her FT3 hasn't been high for very long and the TSH hasn't had time to adjust.
But this is just a theory. The ultrasound should give more information, but she needs those antibdoes tested. If doctors had a clue they would have been tested right from the start!
Spot On GG. That's exactly what happened to me. I experienced palpitations too. This was for me a Tremendous awakening that something is very seriously wrong. I ended up having to have TT.Thank You GG for being so Astute.
Sure.I ended up having papilary cancer. For years I was lamenting to my Dr that I was not feeling well. Only to be told my labs are great. But I was not well. They believed a peice of paper over my symptoms. I really believe had they taken my symptoms seriously from get go and treated my symptoms as they should have I really feel I would still be having my thyroids with the help of thyroid meds.
