I'm currently taking 137.5mcg of levothyroxine and 32.5mcg of t3 (self sourced). A week ago I had a sudden attack of symptoms. The thyroid fatigue, brain fog, (to the point of slurring my words), muscle heaviness and aching and crippling mood change(extremely depressed). I did a blood test 2 days ago and have attached them. As the brain fog and depression is easing a little and I'm able to function, my question is if anyone could help me understand why? This isn't the first time this has happened temporarily and the only thing that lingers is back pain in the exact same place. It could be totally unrelated, but numerous gp appointments haven't come up with anything. The back pain always seems to get worse, when I have the other symptoms. I appreciate everyone's help on this forum so much and I'm in awe of your knowledge and feel very stupid always asking for advice.

How long have you been taking your current dose of thyroid medication?
When was the last time key thyroid vitamins were checked (ferritin, folate, B12, vit D)?
Could your symptoms be related to menopause? Sometimes I find it a minefield working out what’s at play.
Thank you for your reassurance. Had a cancer scare a few months ago and had full bloods and investigations and my vitamins were all really good. I had a hysterectomy 9 years ago and have been on estrogen gel since then. My levels were recently checked and they were fine too. I can only relate these 'blips' to how I felt when I was first diagnosed with hashimoto's.
when you say back pain
Can you describe it a bit more
Kidney/adrenal pain?
Stitch or sharp hot needle pain
Or dull muscle pain
Etc
Can I ask what adrenal pain would be? It's on the right side of my back, behind my rib cage and feels like a constant tight throb, if that makes sense and deep breaths make it worse. I was told it was probably muscular when I first went to see my gp about it, but that was 16 months ago. I've had a month or so of it not really bothering me, but now it's very debilitating again.
Having trawled back through previous posts
You have Hashimoto’s
Are you on strictly gluten free diet
And/or dairy free diet
do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription
Which brand levothyroxine
Which brand T3
Helpful if you can please find time to write a profile
Sorry, I've just updated my profile. Not sure if I've done it correctly. I have Wockardt levothyroxine or Mercury Pharma and Citomel t3. I am not currently gluten free, although I was for 6 months a couple of years ago and found it extremely difficult and didn't really feel any benefits, although I am open to trying again. I eat a small amount of dairy.
Have you tried to switch to NDT thyroid?
