Parathyroid Questions

Hi,

So I've been reading a lot about the thyroid gland since finding this forum and have stumbled upon informed around the parathyroid gland.

Would the figures on the attached image for calcium/phosphorus raise any suspicion in this area, or is there more to the story?

I seem to find that a lot of my blood tests are near the low end of the 'range', but still within. Some other low end examples are

1. Folate

2. TSH

3. T4

4. LH

5. FSH

6. Prolactin

Makes me wonder if adequate signals are arriving to the right places from the brain, but I'm not clever enough to put it all together!

Any thoughts welcomed.

(P.s. My bio contains the long list of ills I'm trying to get rid of)

Hi,

Have you had your PTH tested (parathyroid hormone) ? That’s the first step, GP can arrange it if they suspect.

I had an ultrasound that picked up a parathyroid adenoma, no symptoms and PTH and calcium were normal. So watch and wait for me.

parathyroid.com is a useful website. I’ve heard Endos in Oxford and Liverpool are the UKs main experts. Place in Florida in the US seems to be popular too.

Hey, thanks for the info, I appreciate it. GP doesn't suspect anything unfortunately, he's either stumped or thinks it's all in my mind.
