If I understand what you wrote in your Bio you had radioactive iodine to destroy your thyroid. Your high TSH and high fT4 suggest your pituitary is producing too much TSH. Sometimes this can be due to an error in the blood test but you have signs of hyperthyroidism so this is unlikely. This is a complex case so you need an endocrinologist, it is too complex for a family doctor, a GP.

Do other people in your family have similar problems? This could be due to resistance to thyroid hormone, but I think this is extremely unlikely.

It's possible you have a TSH secreting pituitary adenoma, a growth on the pituitary that causes it to secrete too much TSH. This type of growth is not cancer but it may need to be treated.

Whatever the problem you will need a specialist endocrinologist. Perhaps you are already seeing one?

In rhe short term perhaps your doctor should prescribe some medicine to slow your heart beat to protect it.

I sort of think the radioactive iodine destroyed the thyroid, not the pituitary. :)

Moving legs at night (called restless legs) is often low iron or ferritin

As your doctor to test iron and ferritin levels

Also vitamin D, folate and B12

How much levothyroxine are you taking

Retest 2-3 months after any dose reduction

Test in morning BEFORE taking your levothyroxine

Do you have copies of last test results

What diagnosis do you have? What did the endocrinologist say was the cause of your hyperthyroidism?
