Adrenal transformation protocol;new(ish) book from Izabella Wentz

Knowing that many members have adrenal issues alongside thyroid, this book seemed worth a mention. I've mentioned it in a few replies but it seems worth a post in its own right.

Izabella Wentz' Hashimoto's book is popular already so I was interested to read this when I saw it advertised.

I've had pretty good results following the protocol and feel much perkier in the morning, I even think my under eye shadows are better than before!

Notably the advice is more diet and supplements-based, rather than using ACE or cortisol treatments so might not suit some but seems to be working for my moderately low all day levels.

I say newish as I think it actually came out last year but doesn't seem to be as well known as the Hashimoto's books, so I hope it might be helpful to let more people know about it.

Kinda tempted to read this... though I have reset my stress response and supported my adrenals back to a good place... this seems to be a 4 week reset protocol but does it cover how to maintain happy adrenals?

Somewhat, yes. She proposes a number of interventions and then there is a chapter that discusses what to do when you get to the end of the 4 week program, i.e assessing what symptoms have resolved and which remain, then what to continue, how long you can continue for. Some of the proposals are looking at mental and emotional health, relaxation as well as diet, supplements etc. so would be things you'd want to do longer term. I think my answer is, "probably"!

Thanks for the feedback, I think I'm going to skip it... I seem to have found a good place and things are still on the up a year on so I'm going to keep on keeping on 🤗

I'm pleased it's working for you as getting your adrenals in a happy place is a massive step forward 😁

Thanks! And I agree, if you're in a good place, maybe best not to rock the boat. Sometimes more information just means "analysis paralysis"!

"analysis paralysis"! Perfect description 🤗 I like to deal with things and move on rather than dwell

Which of the book’s interventions have you used?

I started with some and then had a step back in symptoms, it was too much effort…

I’ve had to pause adding in a cortisol supplement because I recently had a armour increase.

Have you retested cortisol? Mine is low throughout day too.

Not what you're looking for?
