Hi all, I have hypothyroidism and Hashi. Long story short. Have been unwell since I had glandular fever almost 40 years ago. Have purchased Izabella Wentz book, Harhimoto's Protocol. Planning to try the protocol for Epstein Barr virus. Has anyone tried it and if so, what was the result? Thanks. Anna

I cannot answer your question and hopefully someone will be along soon with an answer.
Hi
I'm 33 and had glandular fever was a was 16 and missed months of school and even my final exams! I was bedridden for 3 months and ever since then I have never been the same. I was diognosed with Hashi's about 2 years ago and continue to look for ways to improve myself. Please keep me updated with your progress. I haven't seen that article and will have a look now to see what she recommends. Good luck
Hi thanks for getting in touch. Her protocol is actually in hop latest book called Hashimoto's Protocol. It's a 90 plan that covers different Protocols, eg, Liver Support, Adrenal Recovery, Gut, removing Toxins, etc. It's quite detailed. But exp the moment I'm just concentrating on the Epstein Barr one, to see how i get on. I have ordered the necessary tinctures from the USA. Will keep you updated. Mind yourself. It's awful to struggle every day with fatigue and all that goes with it and trying to work full time. No one really understands, I find it so hard to keep in contact with friends and family as I tend to crash at weekends! Anna
We all want to get better and the awful thing is no GP wants to help and you end up paying a fortune to try and make yourself better. There is no price on our health and feeling good but I feel at times I need a mortgage just to try and get better! Would you mind DM me with how much it will cost you to try this approach? Sorry not being rude but would be interesting to know cost and if it's something I may be able to look into thanks
Hi annabhaird, I'm in a similar position. Had Glandular Fever at age 30. Aged 38 I was diagnosed with ME. Tried various "treatments" over the years but gradually declined. Now 56 and worse than ever with new symptoms over last few years. Given up on doctors for now and doing my own tests etc.
Tests showed hypo and raised antibodies. I got The Hashimoto's Protocol book and am slowly reading through it (brain fog is big problem for me) and I plan to start recommended treatments soon.
Have also been looking at info on reactivated Epstein Barr.
I would like to know if anyone doing this too.
Hi Julienew, I've been battling since I was 23 and I was 60 last Oct, so it's been a long battle! Constantly being told nothing wrong with me, all your bloods are normal, your are depressed, here are some anti depressants for you, maybe you should get counselling, and so on and so on, began to think maybe I did have a mental health problem, it was only last year when I found this wonderful site and kind knowledgeable people and I got my bloods tested privately that I found out I have Hashi. Recently persuaded my GP to give me Levo, just started that two weeks ago, I'm gluten free but no discernable difference yet. But I'll keep at it. Anna
