Good morning fellow sufferers, I have just joined after years of not understanding why I feel so exhausted. My blood tests show every thing is in the normal range except my thyroid peroxide antibody being 626 and free T4 is low at 11.7. My doctor won't medicate me as she does not think I have hashimotos disease. So I am trying to get hold of amino after reading about the importance of this in my diet. Can anyone recommend a company for this? I saw that greenleaf-blends.com sell this and is based in the Netherlands but some of the reviews concerned me. I would appreciate any help. I also just want to say thanyou for sharing your experiences with me , I felt so alone for years living with all the symptoms of a underactive thyroid yet being told there is nothing wrong with my by every GP. Any advice to help my thyroid work would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum Gina112,
So we can offer better advice, can you share blood test results (plus ranges in brackets- as these can vary between laboratories ) for:
TSH
FT3
FT4
Plus any antibody and key vitamin tests (ferritin, folate, vitamins D and B12)
As a first step, I would look to optimise key thyroid vitamins.
TSH 1.883. uIU/ml. normal range. 0.55 - 4.78
FT3. 5.22 pmol/L normal range 3.1 - 6.8.
T4. 12.9.pmol/L. normal range 12 - 22.
TPO is 626 normal range 0-60 iu/ml
vit D. 89.6.
folate 24.00 ng
ferritin 233.7
B12. 501.0
I take a zinc tablet and omega 3 tablet daily
please can someone explain to me if I do have hypothyroidism as I have all the symptoms but my doctor says he can not prescribe me any levothyroxine as I am within the normal range . Where do I go with this as I have been feeling unwell for years and I don't know how I can get better?
My blood tests show every thing is in the normal range except my thyroid peroxide antibody being 626 and free T4 is low at 11.7
please add other test results and ranges
Ft4 below range?
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested
Very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once year minimum
Low vitamin levels are extremely common when hypothyroid, especially with autoimmune thyroid disease
Lower vitamin levels more common as we get older
For good conversion of Ft4 (levothyroxine) to Ft3 (active hormone) we must maintain GOOD vitamin levels
What vitamin supplements are you taking
About 90% of primary hypothyroidism is autoimmune thyroid disease, usually diagnosed by high TPO and/or high TG thyroid antibodies
Autoimmune thyroid disease with goitre is Hashimoto’s
Autoimmune thyroid disease without goitre is Ord’s thyroiditis.
Both are autoimmune and generally called Hashimoto’s.
Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins
