I have now had an increase in Liothyronine (after seeing private thyroid Dr) and three months on my levels are better and I feel better.

I have been working on my Vitamin levels as well latest results - taking B12 and Basic B complex latest results B12 737 range 145-569.

Viamin D 99.6 range 50-250

Ferritin 31.80 range 30-332

As advised I had Iron panel done-

Iron 15.1 range 10-30

TIBC 60.8 range 45-81

UIBC 45.7 range 13-56

Transferrin Saturation 24.8 range 25-45

Ferritin 38.60 range 30-332

What would you suggest re Iron supplementation?

So though your ferritin is low your other results suggest your iron isn't too bad so best to raise your ferritin by diet rather than supplements... if you can stomach chicken liver pate this is a great way to add in a little extra at most a couple of times a week due to high Vit A, leafy greens also make sure you have some Vit C in your diet to help uptake... we are into rosehip season which makes delicious rosehip syrup and is high in Vit C 😋

Hi I don’t eat meat so couldn’t eat chicken liver pate. The iron panel was done a little while ago and now ferritin is only 31.8 . I didn’t post until I had update on how other vitamins were doin. I eat a lot of leafy greens already!

Perhaps Spatone daily shots, they do one with Vit C

agree with Tigger

Are the results above without any supplementation?

Yes no iron supplements

Ferritin takes time to build and Spatone sachets are, I believe, more of a maintenance daily dose rather than a build supplement -

Any iron bisglycinate supplement will be kinder on your stomach than the NHS ferrous fumarate dose options -

I purchased Gentle Iron but there are other brands - ate liver twice a week and took Spatone sachets x 4 a day and it took a good 6 months to take my ferritin from 22 to over 50 :

No thyroid hormone replacement works well until ferritin, folate, B12 and vitamin D are up and maintained at optimal levels.
