I feel deflated. My TF4 is 23, my TSH is 8.7, anti TPO is 405 and anti Tg is 299. These are the results of a blood test that he requested (NHS). I was told that I must put levothyroxine up to 175mcg, and when I quibbled this as that level causes heart flutters, he said to take 50mg Atenolol!
I did see the graph of my TSH and it was always under 3 until March 2023 when it went high. TF4 also skyrocketed at the same time. He did not have information on T3, but as measured on the latest blood test was 3.1. The range on the NHS website gives the range as 3.1 to 6.8.
I want to reduce levothyroxine and add a small dose of T3. Please can someone let me know a reliable private supplier of T3? I asked the endocrinologist for it and he said that it was 100 pounds per month, I said that was fine but he said to try raising levo and taking atenolol until January when he would give me another blood test. At 70, I don't have the luxury of waiting! I want to get my quality of life back. I am quite annoyed that he (and my GP) are totally uninterested in why this weird change happened in 2023.
Sorry for the rant!
Please help. I am getting desperate.
Thank you
