Ttc below optimal FT3

Been ttc without success. Only pregnancy ended in miscarriage.

Previous labs just before finding out I was pregnant:

Tsh 1.69

Ft3 4.07 (3.1-6.8)

T4 16.1 (12-22)

Tgab 14

Tpo <9

Current labs:

Tsh 1.5

Ft3 4.3 (3.1-6.8)

T4 16.9 (12-22)

Tgab 14.8

Tpo <9

Recently been given information (not by doctors) that T3 needs to be in upper quadrant of the range so around 5.875 to be optimal and ft4 in the top half...

Not sure about the antibodies? And what my results mean..

I have high cholesterol but follow a very healthy diet, high MCV and MCH, low end of scale for hemoglobin. Iron levels are OK but Ferritin OK but been told (not by doctors) to optimise I.e bring up from 69 to 90. (Struggling with temp at the moment - having really cold to the bones spells whilst my husband feels boiling to my touch) I wear socks in bed in the summer! Headaches, brain fog, slow processing, inability to cope with stress...... take many supplements and b12/folate OK..

Also have TH1 dominance with high tnf alpha (th1 cytokine) which research suggests correlates with low t3 thyroid hormone. I was on a th1 blocker which bought my tnf alpha down by 25% and my t3 up 23% but still neither of them are in range. I'm on steroids which combats inflammation although crp blood tests never show inflammation but TH1 is a pro inflammatory cytokine so high levels suggests i have inflammation.. I don't have a diagnosed immune condition, my doctor who is a Reproductive immunologist isn't interested in finding cause... and no one ever mentioned my thyroid...

I'm not sure if my T3/T4 levels warrant thyroid meds??? Or how to improve the levels further??

It's been suggested I have a conversion issue. I don't think it is diet or food intolerance related (been gluten free for over a year). I do not tolerate alchohol, can't drink at all anymore it makes me so ill...

Help... any suggestions or advice welcome

Welcome to the group.

I'm assuming you're not diagnosed or on thyroid medication, in which case conversion isnt relevant as you are not reliant on converting Levothyroxine - T4 to T3.

Exactly what were your vitamin results? The B12 range is too wide and cut off point too low.

Your thyroid antibodies are currently negative but worth retesting as it may change.

TSH needs to be below 2.5 for conception which yours is.

Free T4 (fT4) 16.9 pmol/L (12 - 22) 49.0%

Free T3 (fT3) 4.3 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8) 32.4%

Your results arent the best but then again they arent terrible and likely no doctor would offer treatment at this point.
