I have always struggled with my T3 being on the low side so begun taking T3 which I obtained on a private prescription. I started these mid-July and started with 5mcg a day then went up to 10mcg a day after a week. I usually take these first thing in the morning with 100mcg of levothyroxine .
I have just had new blood test results back and they all look worse than the July ones. (See below for comparison). I can’t book an appointment with the private prescriber until the 9th oct due to her availability so I would welcome some advice from the knowledgeable people on here about what I should do between now and October and why this may have happened.
July 2024
FT3 3.3 pmol/ (3.1 - 6.8 pmol/L)
FT4 17 pmol/l (12 - 22 pmol/L)
TSH 0.54mu/l (0.27 - 4.2 mU/L)
September 2024
FT3 2.6 pmol/ (3.1 - 6.8 pmol/L)
FT4 12.3 pmol/l (12 - 22 pmol/L)
TSH 3.93 mu/l (0.27 - 4.2 mU/L)
I took the blood test at 8:50am with my last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours before. My last dose of T3 was 15 hours prior to the test.
I last tested all my vitamins in July and they all came back the high end of normal range which was expected as I take a lot of supplements.
I am really concerned about the change in my levels and can’t speak to the GP as they will just say T3 levels don’t matter and TSH is in range.
Please could someone advise me on what I should do next.
Many thanks.

What is your morning routine, are you eating or supplementing close to the dose? Particularly magnesium (I’ve done it).
Is it Roseway? You know you can email the prescriber anytime as a client to ask for help. You don’t need an appointment for this. Just send these results and list your symptoms and see what they say.
I think T3 is showing lower than reality, 15 hours is a long time to leave it before testing compared to the usual 8 hour recommendation.
Thank you so much for replying, I’m in a bit of a panic about it all.
Yes it is Roseway labs and I didn’t know I could email and ask for advice, I will definitely do that now.
I don’t eat/drink for an hour after taking meds and all my supplements are taken after 4pm so I don’t think there is any interaction there. It just feels bizarre that TSH has increased and T4 & T3 have decreased when I was anticipating the opposite result after adding in T3.
I’m not sure what brand of T3 I’ve got as it came in a Roseway bottle but I take Accord (100mcg) Mon-Fri and 75mcg on a Sat/Sun made up of 50mcg Accord and 25mcg of wockhatd.
I’ve been on this Levothyroxine protocol for a few years now and my TSH has remained stable at around O.5-1.5, until now.
side note I found Wockhart particularly useless. Maybe try 100 on Saturday and 50 on sSunday of the Accord. Or split the Accords for 25s. Though with TSH rise may need to talk to them about going back to 100 everyday.
You might find Accord is better for you, but it would be wrong to leave the impression that Accord is BETTER than Wockhardt.
I am not aware of any evidence whatsoever for that. We have some members prefer Accord, some prefer Wockhardt, and some prefer one or more of the other products available. But despite that, we do not know why that is the case except where specific excipients are not tolerated in some way.
I won't be much help as I could not afford to keep experimenting with liothyronine, and find the answer to it all. But just wanted you to know that I too dropped in t3 levels, when adding liothyronine.
