hi can anyone advise best course of correcting my levels? I usually take 1.5 tablets of thyroid s and 10mcg t3, but have accidentally been taking 20mcg of t3 for the past 10 day.

Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test

NDT and T3 ….day before test split T3 as 2 or 3 smaller doses spread through the day, with last dose approximately 8-12 hours before test

Start reducing T3 by 5mcg per day

Thanks so much for replying.

Last dose of meds was 10pm, bloods drawn at 7:45 the next morning.

I have been having trouble sleeping more so than usual and face has had many spots, I had put this down to being perimenopausal, along with all the silly little things I have been doing recently ( one of which messing up meds 🤦🏼‍♀️).

I actually realised 2 night ago I’d been taking double the dose and without thinking dropped dose back to normal, but now realised I have messed up again by not gradually reducing 😩

Without causing further distress to my body, do I stick to my usual dose or do I slowly increase to start the decrease, if that makes any sense ? I do feel a little out of sorts but again, put that down to being hormonal and exhausted.
