hi,

I have had 3 test results now my last ones. Dr said there are abnormal and to treat in 6-8 weeks. I feel pretty rubbish.

I used the calculator.

They all fall within normal range.

TSH 0.35 mIU/L (0.35 - 4.94) 0.0%Free T4 (fT4) 11.1 pmol/L (9 - 19.10) 20.8%Free T3 (fT3) 3.8 pmol/L (2.4 - 6) 38.9%T4:T3 Ratio 2.921

Welcome to the forum

Do you mean this is the first thyroid test you have done or that this is the 3rd time testing

ALWAYS test thyroid levels early morning, ideally around 9am

Request GP test thyroid antibodies for autoimmune thyroid disease, also test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 levels now

About 90% of primary hypothyroidism is autoimmune thyroid disease, usually diagnosed by high thyroid antibodies

Autoimmune thyroid disease with goitre is Hashimoto’s

Autoimmune thyroid disease without goitre is Ord’s thyroiditis.

Both are autoimmune and generally called Hashimoto’s.

Low vitamin levels are extremely common when hypothyroid, especially with autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto’s or Ord’s thyroiditis)

20% of autoimmune thyroid patients never have high thyroid antibodies and ultrasound scan of thyroid can get diagnosis

In U.K. medics hardly ever refer to autoimmune thyroid disease as Hashimoto’s (or Ord’s thyroiditis)

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins

ferritin 90 range (35-200)

If it’s the antibiotics hypo does that need treatment?

Could this be why I feel rubbish?

sorry would this also impact my oestrogen levels which are 190 not sure what bottom range is but too is over a 1000

And LH serum is below range?

Sorry for all the questions this is all new to me and trying to get to the bottom of why I’m feeling as I do.

Thank you so much for replies

so you need vitamin levels and antibodies tested now

Not in 6 weeks

Approx how old are you

TSH is not reflecting the low Ft4 and Ft3

What’s your diet like

Are you vegetarian or vegan

Gluten free or dairy free

what is do my results reflect?

Ferritin looks reasonable. Adding red meat couple of times a week and liver or liver pate would help maintain good iron/ferritin

No vitamin D, folate or B12 results

Or thyroid antibodies tested

Low vitamin levels affect thyroid

So getting these tested next step

Your TSH is low. Normally if thyroid levels are low (Ft4 and Ft3) then TSH rises

TSH is the message from pituitary telling the thyroid to work

Higher the TSH the more pituitary is asking thyroid to work

Your GP is perhaps considering some degree of central hypothyroidism

Have you had whiplash, head trauma or concussion or lost lot of blood after giving birth (Sheehan syndrome)

Central hypothyroidism
