T3 update

Thanks to everyone for responding to my first post about starting T3. After feeling awful on 5mg twice a day with 100 levo I decided to up it to 10mg twice a day. My mood lifted, headache went away and I have more energy and motivation. However, I seem to be having problems getting to sleep as if I'm wired. A few nights of bad insomnia. Also if I have a few glasses of wine I get a racing heart when I go to bed. Has anyone else experienced this? Is alcohol and sleep now off the cards with T3? I hope not 🤣 but overall I do feel better.

Sounds like you have gone a little too high, it is powerful stuff and can cause heart issues if to high try dropping back to 15mcg

Hello

I take liothyronine 60 micro grams daily and alcohol really does affect the take up of the T3 I take, as for sleep ,play around with the times you take your T3, this can take a while.And any amount of Soy is a no no for me too.

Thanks, do you get palpitations with alcohol? It always happened with me when my levo was too high so it looks like I need to reduce T3. Yes, I was starting to take my second dose about 3pm to see if ealier helps the wired feeling at night.

I got terrible palpitations and really bad acid reflux with alcohol, really strong acid and very painful.

Ahh thats a shame. Normally I can torelate it fine apart from when the meds aren't right. I'll reduce t3 and see how it goes.
