Hi, Does anyone know if there are any reasons to avoid taking evening primrose oil if you have hashimotos and take levothyroxine?

Suffering with fibrocystic breast pain and have been told previously by GP that evening primrose oil can help with that, but wouldn't want to cause any issues to my thyroid levels.

Thank you!

Never heard of any. I used to take it with no ill effect.

I'll vouch for it easing breast pain wonderfully, but do not take if you are taking blood thinners as EPO thins your blood. Might be wise to let a Doctor know you were taking it. I don't know of any reasons for avoiding it if you have Hashimotos and are taking Levothyroxine.
