My GP has just offered to add some T3 to my medication for hypothyroidism. I am wondering what questions I could usefully ask Any recommendations?

T3 prescribe

The first question I would ask is: what are my blood test results? I'd want a print-out showing both FT3 and FT4.

Can you give us a little more information? e.g What has prompted your GP to suggest adding T3? Did you ask for it, or was this in response to your blood test results, or does s/he think it might resolve some symptoms you're experiencing?
Excellent that your GP has recognised you may need T3 (many haven't a clue what it is!)
But NHS GPs are not supposed to be initiate T3, it's supposed to be initiated by a consultant and, if successful, then prescribing can be transferred to to GP.
Not 100% which applies:
Sark is not part of the UK’s National Health Service!
The system for accessing doctors (GPs) in Guernsey and Alderney is significantly different to the UK.
Ask him if he would attend a high level conference of Endos and explain to them what T3 is and how it helps so many people with dodgy thyroids.
Then ask him if he would consider moving to West Wales and marrying me....
Make sure your GP understands that when T3 is added it will probably lower your TSH and maybe also FT4. In future he should only be guided by these numbers and how you feel, not by the TSH.
