Supplement timings with Levo

Hi all,

Could anyone recommend supplement timings for me? I am getting confused with what conflicts with what.

I take my Levo between 6 and 7am, and do not want to move it to taking it at night for various reasons. Breakfast 7am to 8am.

I am taking;

Iron

B complex

Selenium

Magnesium

Vit D

Berberine

Thank you!

As a general rule, all supplements should be at least two hours away from levo.

Iron, magnesium and vit D should be four hours away.

Iron should be two hours away from everything except vit C - but vit C is essential for absorption of iron.

People usually take B vits after breakfast because, they say, it has a stimulating effect. (Wish that worked with me, but there you are...)

Magnesium is usually taken at night because it makes people sleepy. (Doesn't work for me, either! lol)

Vit D is usually taken with the fattiest meal of the day because it is fat soluble (unless it's vit D in olive oil capsules).

So, how about B vits and berberine after breakfast; iron and vit C after lunch; vit D and selenium with dinner and magnesium two hours plus later?

Hi Ruth,

I'm similar to you as I find myself getting tied in knots trying to take stuff at the right time.

if vitamin D is mouth spray then you can take an hour or two after Levo

Magnesium best taken at bedtime or shortly before as is relaxing and improves sleep

Or for those of us who take levothyroxine at bedtime…..Magnesium at least 4 hours before

Does the same go for magnesium and T3?

Personally I try to leave as long as possible

As I take T3 every 6 hours approximately…..magnesium is only ever around 3 hours away
