is post nasal drip a symptom of hashi’s. Have had it for months and can’t seem to get rid of it?
I will be taking new blood tests in few weeks and am not taking supplements. As far as magnesium, iron etc., I’m trying to get these through food daily and also trying the liver once a week route for ferratin b12 uptick (and I abhor liver:). Can eating the correct foods replace supplement route?

Yes I frequently have it, dont known if its related to Hashis as my hypo doesnt appear to be autoimmune. I have found raising the head of my bed has helped a lot, also a good tip if you have frequent acid reflux or GERD, especially as the two conditions often go hand in hand.
Postnasal drip can be caused by allergies, like pollen, dust etc. A steroid nasal spray can help, you can buy these otc. Need to have the steroid ones though as these reduce inflammation, so ones containing Beconase etc are good. Cutting back or excluding dairy produce can help as in some people dairy foods can increase mucus production.
Another common cause of postnasal drip is nasal polyps, harmless, fleshy growths inside the nasal cavity and sinuses. Again using a steroid nasal spray twice a day can cause these to shrink. I use a prescription nose spray Ipatropium Bromide which dries my nose out very effectively. My ENT consultant recommended it. Also known as Rinatec.
Finally a saline nose spray or saline wash made with warm water and salt and injected into the nose with a syringe can clear out crud from the sinuses. Or a neti pot can be helpful. Inhaling steam can be helpful too.
