You'll have to list the supplements you think you will take. We all take different ones for different problems.

B12 folate and melatonin and magnesium

With B12 it has to be methylcobalamin and I would use sublingual as they dissolve under tongue and go direct into your bloodstream bypassing stomach. You cannot overdose with B12 as excess is excreted. If GP has done a B12 blood test around 1,000 is an aim. Magnesium can be absorbed through the skin with either in the bath etc. details below:

Another might be able to give info on melatonin and folate.

Razzar, did you get your B12 tested first? If so, what was the result? How much you take dépends on how much you need. And we know that by the result of the blood test. And if it was very low, you should be tested for intrinsic factor, to see if you have Pernicious Anemia. If you do have PA, you can get B12 injections on the NHS.

If you are taking B12, you should also take a B complex, because all the Bs work together. What level was your folate? Because it's possible that just taking the B complex would bring up the folate sufficiently. But it needs to be methylfolate, not folic acid, which is badly absorbed.

Why do you want to take meletonin?

My last test for b12 was around 180 I was prescribed injections but moved surgeries have had trouble getting them reinstated as the doc who booked me in and went on maternity leave wasn't there. The nurse took my blood again and said I couldn't have the injections after because I was just above Borderline. So I have given up tbh Its a long story to explain in full. Thanks

That's terrible! Well, in that case, you're going to need a pretty high dose. 1000 is just not going to cut it. How long since you had an injection? If it's been a while then you should start with about 10 000, in my opinion. Try and get tested after a couple of months. But Don't forget the b complex! lol

It's been a long time the doctors I'm at don't have a clue they have nearly killed me off good job I stamped my feet to be refered to see endo. Looked at me straight away and saw how sick I was .Took me off Levo as my body had not been absorbing or converting T4 since 2011 he said I had mydexma. He was also horrified they had not picked it up on my bloods. He went through all the blood tests I have had since 2011 he said that was last time he can see my levels were normalish. So I'm on 10mcgs of Liothyronine 3 x a day till my next appointment. X
