There's nothing in your profile about your thyroid condition.

How do you feel?

Are you still on 75mcgs Levo? If so thats a low dose.

Your FT4 is only 54% of range and TSH over 1 so you are due a dose increase.

Vit D is on the low side. Do you supplement already?

Vitamin D should be around 100 - 150. Buy one that includes vit K2 to help it go to your bones. Some are available in oil or you can take it with an oily meal for better absorption. Many members like the ‘Better You’ range of mouth sprays that contain both bit D & K2. Use this calculator to work out how much to take to get your level to 100-150.grassrootshealth.net/projec...

Other vitamins are good.

If you're supplementing magnesium you might want to drop it back as its not good to have an over range result.

Have you tried a strictly gluten free diet? This helps many with Hashi's. Some also benefit from going dairy free too.

Hi Jaydee,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly it's greatly appreciated.

I am not sure what you mean by my Thyroid condition?

I have been on 100mg Levo since last year after having some really emotional, tired and low points like a roller coaster actually.

Since increase its mostly been better but I've had a few really low points where I feel like something terrible is going to happen.. Sense of impending doom and getting teary.

As recent as last week I had this all with some butterfly feelings in my chest.

However the docs report that arrived with my blood results indicated my Cortisol was needing looked at which may explain the stress levels 🤷‍♂️

I don't take any supplements including Magnesium but I will look into Vit D etc

When you say Multi vitamins does that exclude Iron & Iodine?

I have not tried any diet but think my glucose spikes are all over the place so I'm heading in a more protein based direction.

I mean that you haven't mentioned being hypo in your profile or where you're at with that.

I didn't say anything about multivitamins which are not recommended in this group for multiple reasons.

i did recommend a B complex which is a different thing.

Insist GP gives you a dose increase which should help along with the vitamins.

Hi Jaydee,

Apologies.. I'm hypo.. Thought I'd put that in my bio.. will update .

Yes your correct you said other Vitamins not Multi.

I wouldn't take multi anyway as the majority have iron & iodine.

Yes I will speak to GP and show her the results of this test as my next bloods appointment (platelets) and discuss increasing levo dose.

When you say a dose increase is that by 25mg to start with as I believe that's the lowest.. but could be wrong?

Thanks for your help.

You probably have room for a 25mcg dose increase but you could always ask to trial 12.5mcgs if GP is reluctant.

Forgot to mention that Blue Horizon advised that my Thyroid condition was normal 🤷‍♂️So if my GP reads the Blue Horizon results and their Doctors summary how do I convince my GP that I need more Levo?

How do I back up my request is what I mean.

I would ignore ny comments made by Blue Horizon as they mean very little.

Explain any remaining symptoms to your GP and that you have room for an increase as your TSH is over 1.

Theres a pinned post about keping TSH lower here: healthunlocked.com/thyroidu....

Ask for the increase as a trial which often goes down well.

They are 'normal' (euthyroid) for someone not on thyroid hormone replacement. Not for someone who has a diagnosis of hypo. I don't know if your GP would be capable of knowing the difference, but believe me, it's real!

Don't waste your time with comments from the Blue Horizon doctors. They are just common or garden GPs. They are not thyroid experts so get an awful lot wrong. And, when a doctor says 'normal', all they means is 'in-range', anyway. And that is not the same thing as optimal.

What time was test

how long before test was last dose levothyroxine

How much levothyroxine are you taking

Approx how much do you weigh in kilo

Do you always get same brand levothyroxine

Exactly what vitamin supplements do you take

Are you on strictly gluten free and/or dairy free diet

And how do you feel

Hi SlowDragon,

The test was approximately 9am.

It was 26hrs prior to test as I made an error with my times but Grey Goose reckoned I'd be fine with extra 2hrs so I carried on.

Mercury Pharma 100mg

Yes I do always get the same brand.. as at one point they mixed up with another brand and I believe the fillers were not agreeing with me.

But pharmacy is aware now.

I weigh approximately 72kg

Not on any supplements.

No diets although I'm heading into a more protein orientated direction soon.

The accompanying doctors report that came with results highlighted that I had high cortisol which I believe is why I had butterfly like feeling in chest for a couple for days. No pain or anything else.

But I was super emotional and did have this feeling like the world was ending, teary etc

Hard to explain but it's terrible.

Thanks for getting back to me it's appreciated.
