My 19 year old son is having symptoms returning. Backround tiredness, low resistance to bugs and migraines seem to be comming back. He has been on Levo 75mcg for 3 months. Initially Doctor started him on 25mcg Levo last summer.
He has responded really well to the levo, resolving most of his symptoms, regular migranes, constant fatigue and he has gained a little weight.
We did a blood test recently thinking he may need an increase but his T3 is really high. So would anyone know why this is? Should he stay on this dose? Just trying to work out what to ask the Doctor.
He is taking recommended B complex, Vitamin D3+K2 and Magnesium.

Hi SlowDragon, thank you for your response. He didn't test positive for Hashimotos but his Aunt (my sister has) my daughter and I haven't either. Yes, he stopped the B Complex a week before. Test about 8.30 am fasting, Levo 24 hours before test. He is not gluten free or dairy free. He is fussy with food but he has been gaining some weight. I will test him again in 6 weeks. This really helps thank you so much.
Hi SlowDragon, Thank you for the information. Yes we have all had both antibodies tested. My daughter and I have had ultrasound scans. Scaring found on daughter's scan. My thyroid is small and have small cyst. But maybe I should ask son's Doctor for a scan for him. We will test again in 6 weeks and then see his Doctor. Hopefully, he will do a scan.
