Thyroid cancer, hot flashes and cold intolerance/shivering?

I haven’t been diagnosed with thyroid cancer but I’ve been unwell for well over a year and my symptoms have got progressively worse. I only just did a post on this few days ago but I wanted to make a new one as I’m curious to see who has had thyroid cancer and found that they had a progressive worsening for cold intolerance and would get uncontrollable shivery until they got warm with a few layers or under a duvet. I’ve had that for well over a year. Also if they started getting hot flashes as I started getting this around 3 weeks ago. I’ve also started getting a funny head but I feel like it’s coming from the left side. I thought this was down to my bursitis getting worse but I’m starting to wonder if this is something else and wonder if it’s that that’s making my bursitis worse. Everything feels weird on the left side from my shoulder to neck, chest, head. Sometimes I feel cognitively I’m a bit slower like my eyes take longer to catch up to things like things are moving too fast. I had this a while ago and thought I was on too lower dose and it did improve but now I’m getting it again. Like I said in my previous post, I’ve had a thyroid ultrasound last September, I also had a cervical neck and brain MRI April 2023 and nothing was picked up. I’ve had intermittent pain and tightness in the front of my neck for months more so on the left side. Also breathing problems because of the tightness in my throat and spreads to my chest. So I’m kind of at a loss but I definitely don’t seem to be getting any better only worse.

I have never had thyroid cancer, but worsening cold intolerance suggests to me that your thyroid hormone levels are too low for good health.

Personal anecdote : I have also found that being low in iron and/or ferritin causes me to be extremely cold intolerant, so I always keep tabs on those too.

Last time I checked them they were normal but I’ll have to get them re checked next week. My folate has been low end of normal but I do take supplements. Ferritin is always fine though.

What kind of folate supplement do you take, and at what dose?
