I'm trying to work out when to fit in taking iron (Three arrows) with my T3 doses. I am taking T3 as per my private Dr's schedule which is 3 times per day and 6-7 hours apart.
I'm wondering whether to switch to x2 per day or can I close the gap and make it shorter than 6 hours and then take iron before bed?
Unfortunately I can't move the 1st dose any earlier because I don't wake up before then.
This is my current schedule?
9-9.30 am: T3
3-3.30 pm: T3
9- 9.30 pm: T3

Correct, the molecular structure of T4 and T3 are similar, and parts of the iron structure do bind to both similarly in a way that inhibits absorption, leading to both the thyroid hormone and the iron to pass through you and get excreted.
I split my T replacement to 7 am, noon and midnight.
Leaving the 5-8 pm time for iron and others.
edit: if you ask your doctor, let us know what they say!
I take T3 split into three doses: am, pm and bedtime (with T4) so roughly eight hours apart. I take Three Arrows Iron midway between two doses, so roughly four hours away from thyroid meds. I’m not too fussy about food timing and T3 as it seems to work regardless but I do try to take vits, mineral supplements and my hrt four hours apart from thyroid meds just in case.
