My latest Thyroid results after increase.

Just a quick recap..I felt I was slightly over medicated on 100mcg per day in November 2023 where my results were:

TSH - 0.011 (0.27-4.2)

Free T4 - 21.6 (12-22) (96%)

Free T3 - 5.8 (3.1-6.8) ((73%)

So I dropped to 4 days 100mcg 3 days 75mcg..January 2nd retested and my hormones had plummeted to

TSH 1.62 (0.27-4.2)

Free T4 15 (12-22) (30%)

Free T3 3.7 (3.1-6.8) (19%)

I’ve raised it to 6 days 100mcg one day 75mcg for nearly 7 weeks now and latest results are

TSH 1.51 (0.35-5.5

Free T4 17.7 (11.9-21.6) (60%)

Free T3 4.29 (3.1-6.8) (32%)

I don’t seem to be converting as well as I was which is confusing me because my vitamins are all good. Test was done as normal 9am fasting no Synthroid for 24hrs. I’m wondering whether I should have stayed on 100mcg and rode it out because it seems like my body needs more. I’m nearly 15 stone. Any advice much appreciated.

It's looking like you body has adjusted to T4 and it's actually time for an increase, maybe nudge it up to 112.5mcg?

Which of the results did you feel best on?

Thank you yes I definitely felt best on the higher dose when T3 was in the 70s it was the most normal I’ve felt for a long time. But I was worried about the high T4. Dropping so much was a big mistake and I should have taken slow dragons advice and dropped 25mcg per week. It’s a learning curve I’m new to all this. Maybe a slight increase is a good idea now thanks 🙏

when you dropped your dose from 100mcg to 75mcg did you change the levo brand? Or have you been cutting up? If you changed your brand for then maybe the lower strength of tablets have something to do with it. I know when my strength of levo was increased my T3 result jumped. So maybe lower strength it’ll reduce. Just a thought ??

No I only take synthroid ordered from an international pharmacy. I think I changed batch’s but I don’t know if that would make that much of a difference. I definitely dropped too much I know that. Big mistake now I think my body needs more. Maybe my thyroid has shut down aswell. I think I’ll try a slightly higher dose and see how it goes thank you.
