Hi looking for some advice on my recent blood results please.

I followed all protocols for testing as per usual. My iron seems to have gone down so I’m back to taking two supplements a day as I dropped it to one after my last results in November.

Been feeling tired a lot with not much energy but I’m sure being peri menopausal doesn’t help😏

Currently taking 100mg of levothyroxine with 20mg of liothyronine, which I split into three dose.

Any advice will be as always greatly appreciated❤️

Free T4 (fT4) 16.2 pmol/L (12 - 22) 42.0%

Free T3 (fT3) 4.2 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8) 29.7%

If you allowed the usual 24hrs for Levo & 8-12hrs for T3 before the test then your results are both on the low side and you could increase either Levo or T3.

Your ferritin is still good at 96.4.

Yes I followed all the timings for both, I was thinking of adding in 5mg of liothyronine as I’m sure I’ve tried adding in more levo before(will need to check notes)

Could you suggest when to add in another 5mg of lio please, currently taking 10mg at 4 am with levo then 5mg at noon and 5mg at 8pm.

T3 should be dosed in roughly 8 hour intervals. Taking it while you are active during the day might help energy slumps, so perhaps the noon dose you could increase by 5mcgs.

Thanks for your advice, one more thing, I’m going to try a probiotic, I’ve never really done very well with them before but I’ve found a liquid form that I’m going to try, do you think I should wait and see how I do with that before adding in extra lio?

It would be wise to leave a few weeks after starting anything different before adding another 'different' thing.

Did you have to change brand of T3 recently

Wondering if that’s upset levels

I’m taking morning side now but I’ve not been on them that long as I had a good supply of teva.

Which brand of levothyroxine do you take

Are you lactose intolerant or on dairy free diet

I take the brand I’ve always taken I think it’s accord, I’ve tried all the elimination diets before, I’m gonna try a liquid probiotic and see how I go, thanks for your help.
