Hi I’m looking to see what you think of my latest bloods please?
I followed all protocols before testing .
I followed slow dragons advice on my last results so now take 100mg of levothyroxine and 15mg of liothyronine split into three doses throughout the day.
I have to say I’ve felt the best I’ve ever felt since starting liothyronine and I can only presume it’s due to splitting the dose throughout the day,I take 5mg in the morning, afternoon and night,I’ve tried this before but decided this time to give it a chance and I must say I’m impressed.
As always any help/advice would be most welcome❤️

😀 Glad to hear you have found it so effective
Was last 5mcg dose T3 approx 8-12 hours before test
You might experiment with increasing levothyroxine a little
Which brand is 100mcg levothyroxine
Do you have any 25mcg tablets to cut in half
Perhaps add 12.5mcg extra 3 days week?
What vitamin supplements are you taking
Folate on low side
Do you normally take daily vitamin B complex?
Ferritin could be higher. Look at increasing iron rich foods in your diet
Levothyroxine is ALMUS,I don’t have any 25mg tablets only 100.
I take vitamin d and I’d started taking a vitamin c and b complex not long before the test,I stopped it 7 days before the test,I stopped the Thorne one as I don’t do well with capsules.
I’m trying to incorporate more iron rich foods and there’s a small amount of iron in the complex tablets I’m taking,I’ll post it below.I take a half of one a day
In week before blood test, when you stop vitamin B complex, you might want to consider taking a separate folate supplement (eg Jarrow methyl folate 400mcg) and continue separate B12
only try increasing levothyroxine or T3 ….not both
Try 20mcg T3+in total per day 10mcg in morning, 5mcg and 5mcg
Or try increasing levothyroxine
Personally I would try increasing levothyroxine first ….
You could cut a 100mcg into 1/4’s to get 25mcg …..add 25mcg 2 days a week…..
Ah that’s good to know about iron👍ok I’ll try adding in 25 of levo two days a week and see how I go,the trouble with that is it’s taking me over what I’m prescribed but I think I should be ok as I’ve got done extra.
It's not one I'd consider. It contains folic acid where methylfolate is the recommended form. The amount of B12 is a measly 4mcg which will nothing, if you want to improve B12 level you'd want at least 400mcg. Also, being a tablet it has quite a few excipients. I don't think you can better Thorne Basic B or Vitablossom liposomal B Complex.
Again it contains folic acid rather than methylfolate and there's a plethora of excipients - bulking agents, anti caking agents, etc, which you'll generally find in tablets, they can't make tablets without them. If you're happy to accept that with tablets then that's fine, it's just that I prefer to have none or as few as possible. I still think you'd be better opening a capsule and adding the contents to something but that's just my opinion.
If you don't want to use capsules have you looked at softgels, eg Vitablossom/Yipmai which I use:
Other ingredients: Phosphatidylcholine (from non GMP sunflower lecithin), Glycerine capsule (gelatin, glycerine, purified water, Beeswax, Sunflower oil.
You could try increasing levo to 125mcg but your T4 to T3 conversion is poor so I doubt that would make a huge difference apart from raising your FT4!
in your shoes I would increase T3 by 5mcg, hold that for 6+ weeks and test again
See how you feel...
T3 is the active thyroid hormone which, for good health, must saturate almost every cell in the body...it needs to be available in a constant and adequate supply.
I need high dose T3-only to function and take the full dose at bedtime.
We sometimes need to experiment with timing as well as strength to find our therapeutic dose.
So long as FT3 remains in ref range you will not be overmedicated
There is no quick fix....it takes a lot of time and patience!
Thank you for your advice,I’ll try adding in another 5mg of T3 in the morning,I’m supposed to take 10 in the morning and 10 at night, that’s what I’m prescribed.
Don't be surprised if initially you feel better after an increase then that benefit tails off again....the system appreciates the extra hormone so improves.....possibly only for a short time....then if the dose is still too low symptoms come back.....it's the body's way of saying, "more please"!
Symptoms should resolve when you reach your therapeutic dose
I'm afraid what medics prescribe/ advise is not always what our bodies need! They don't have personal experience....only general text book knowledge.
Yes - I know - though if near a Waitrose they sell a similar frozen chicken liver option though not in a pot but a larger flatter container - preferred Asda - but there you go :
