I am having symptoms of an under active thyroid or fatigue like never before, achey muscles like my calf’s are going to cramp up all the time, was having stomach acid issues and losing weight bizarrely.

I feel like I can’t increase my meds as my t4 goes over and then I have even more anxiety and other symptoms. Feel like I’m stuck between a rock a hard place and I have severe anxiety 😞

I don’t want to take anti depressants as they’ve made worse earlier this year but I can’t live with the anxiety anymore . It ruining my life and I have a 2.5 year old that I want to enjoy and be present for. He hasn’t had ‘me’ yet 🥹

Hi Goinginsane 🤗♥️

I’m going to address both posts together.

I’m so sorry you are having a hard time. I personally think you are suffering from being under medicated. All symptoms and anxiety speaks to this.

TSH is too high should be around 1 when adequately treated and more importantly you should be symptom free. Doctors treat the lab work not the patient in more cases than not. They fit the patient to the lab work at all costs. I would liken it to cutting the corners of a square peg to fit through a round hole. Crude.

T3 is only 42% through range

FT4 is 96% through range

Getting your vitamins and minerals optimised for your body could help this.

I couldn’t do a better job advising you than all the info that SlowDragon popped into replies on this post from a year ago.

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

You are stuck in a loop with your hypothyroidism. Previous Yo-Yo dosing and vitamin levels being below optimal. Doctors are clueless. If you scroll down the previous post SlowDragon has provided loads of links for you on vitamins and pretty much everything. I’m reluctant to add to the information because you need to work through that first. I don’t want to overload and the stuff SlowDragon has provided is priority (and gold!) 😉👍

I was a recipient of an ‘info dump’. There is a lot to work through, but as one who has done this to get well I would urge you to start - slowly (don’t overwhelm yourself).

Get all your vitamins and minerals optimal then look to sorting out your thyroid medication.

I noticed on one post you mentioned you couldn’t get to your previous posts. I simply couldn’t read through all of them. It might be good to summarise your journey in your bio. Have a look at mine.

If you click on your logo (for want of a better description) it will take you to your profile screen - your bio and posts are there. If you clicked on my logo (the face with grey hair) that would take you to my bio and my posts.

When introducing supplements, do it one at a time leave a couple weeks and then if no problems you can introduce the next one. Then if something disagrees you will know to stop it and try something else. If you pile everything in together you won’t know what is doing what.

We have to understand our own conditions when the doctors are so ignorant. But I’ve seen some of the rubbish research that fuels the policy guidelines. Unbelievable.

Read through the SlowDragon advice to get going.

These doctors have good information. I noticed one thing they mention was that being under active can cause anxiety in this film. Such a complicated problem for sufferers including myself. I thought all symptoms would go if optimally treated but they haven’t so far. I think it’s worth a listen. Good luck.
