uterine fibroids and ovarian cysts
Fibroids, yes. I had a historectomy when I was 41 because I was undiagonosed Hashi's at that time and not one of the many doctors I saw at that time knew anything about thyroid - not even enough to test me!
Have you been told the kind of ovarian cyst you have? They come in different types and what happens to them or how they affect the woman can vary. The majority of ovarian cysts are benign/non-cancerous.
Functional cysts are by far the most common, and they usually develop and disappear as part of the menstrual cycle. Sometimes they don't disappear and can get very big.
Someone with endometriosis could develop a type of cyst called an endometrioma which is full of blood. They may need to be removed if they get big.
Dermoid cysts are rare and usually develop while someone is in the womb. They can be harmless or nasty, depending on what is inside of them and whether or not they twist and whether they grow under the influence of hormones. They are usually benign.

I was told I had a couple of fibroids but nobody did anything about them and they were never removed.

Yes, a year after I was put on Levothyroxine I developed a fibroid in the top of my uterus. It was inside the muscle bulging outwards and would cause excruciating labor like pain for one week every month. I lived with it for seven years because idiot physicians told me it was a cyst on my ovary or that the fibroid couldn't be the cause of my pain. I sought out a physician that uses radiofrequency ablation to treat. I'm in the US but it looks like the procedure in the UK is called The Sonata Treatment. sonatatreatment.uk/
Since I had the fibroid treated I've been pain free for almost five years. This procedure is non invasive compared to myomectomies and reduced bleeding up to 95% of patients.
Yes I’ve had both at different times. Suggest you get a bit more info about the ovarian cysts - size, lab results & ask for advice. many people get ‘cysts’ that vary each month other need surgery plus other treatment. Suggest you find out a bit more. As for fibroids, I had some and chose to have a womb ablation and insertion of a coil - best decision I took as I was free from the cycle of pain and excess bleeding. Good luck - ask questions and dont panic!
