Vit blood test

Hello lovely people. Following my recent thyroid blood test with MMH, it was suggested that as my T3 was very low I should ask GP for further Vit tests. This I did with a note included in thyroid blood test results. Today, received a letter from surgery (dictated on day I dropped off my results) calling me to go for routine blood tests - was this just my routine thyroid test due in October (as far as surgery is concerned) or Vit blood tests? Finally got through to receptionist who, poor lamb hadn’t got a clue, to find out what blood tests for. Apparently 7 different bloods for D3, B12, ferritin and more! I am so surprised. Thyroid UK’s influence here I am sure! The first blood test appt is on 17Oct at 2.30pm. So, am I ok with afternoon appt for these bloods and do I also need to keep off B complex for 5-7 days? Thank you very very much! Btw, I tried to explain to receptionist about T4 -T3 conversion and I could see her head spinning on the phone!!!😎

I wouldn’t go at 2.30pm as they will likely test thyroid levels as well

Better to wait and book 8.45-9am appointment

Yes stop vitamin B complex 5-7 days before test and take a daily folate instead that week
