I was diagnosed with Graves disease just in June . I read that getting hot/clammy is a symptom. When I first started to become ill - hot was not on the list - cold was! I had lost weight rapidly and I was already skinny - so I became underweight.
My weight is gradually going back to normal (I am feeling more like myself and in control/ on top of life, with far more energy - but now I am getting hot and clammy - like hot flushes ( I am 65 and those stopped ages ago ) .
I know it's been very hot weather wise but this has nothing to do with the weather for sure.
My blood tests are showing a gradual improvement - TSH, T3, T4 are now in range ( albeit T3, T4 are now getting towards low - so I am keeping a close eye and ready to spk to endo to address so I don't tip to hypo).
Is this the normal course of things with Graves Disease please?
Many thanks

The trouble with having a thyroid issue is we loose track of what's 'normal' and what's not! I'm also way beyond menopause, and supposedly optimally treated for hypOthyroidism. But I'm currently experiencing hot flushes, being hot and clammy, especially when I first get up in the morning. The humidity across most of the UK is still ridiculously high for the time of year. So I'm putting it down to that. 😊
