So I’ve been off medication for 2 months since going into a hyper state due to over medication they told me to stay off them retested in July and my TSH was still extremely low but T4 and T3 back in good range.
So it’s been around 6 weeks since my last tests and want to get back on my medication because I’ve noticed an increase in my depression, muscle aches and just general crap.
So asked my doctor for my thyroid to be rechecked which I feel is reasonable and he said sure but only TSH but I said T3 and T4 are needed. (I’ve had my vitamins recently for other reasons). He said no TSH is just fine but like if it comes back in range they’ll just say stay off the medication without even knowing my T4 and T3.
So frustrated they won’t listen, haven’t got any medication until they retest it but they know I’ve got hypothyroidism.

Hello, my wife has hypothyroidism and pays privately for erfa ( the natural thyroid) the Canadian version of Armour, she does this because she could not get on with the synthetic levothyroxine that only contains T3. You say your T3 and T4 levels are good, in my opinion ( l am a layman but with experience) you should ignore the medical interpretation of normal and if the low end of normal should strive to be more mid range ( it’s not enough to be within the range, the doctor should ask how do you feel? I agree it’s easy to take too much thyroid medication and my wife has done this and it also made her unwell. I am not sure 🤔 how long you have stopped taking the thyroid medication, l assume you mean levothyroxine, l would suggest that you request as already stated that your bloods be taken and your TSH, t3 & t4 be checked, you need to get to the bottom of what’s making you feel unwell. The squeaky wheels get oiled, ring the surgery Tuesday, the nurse can take your bloods.
