Hi, This is my latest blood results from my GP. It looks to me like I could increase my Levothyroxine from 50mgs to 75mg but I’m a bit anxious about doing this as don’t want to go over. Is it possible to go up in doses lower that 25 mgs
What are people’s thoughts please.
TIA.

I agree with greygoose, you need an increase to 75 mcg now, your FT4 is only 28.4%. You have a long way to go before you need to worry about “going over”
No way is an increase of 25 mcg going to take your FT4 over-range with those results. Your FT4 is much too low, and your TSH is much too high. And 50 mcg is only a starter dose. Highly unlikely that that is enough for anyone.
When you get to the point of needing to fine-tune your dose, you can go up in as small a dose as you like, but varying how much you take. Alternating 100 mcg and 120 mcg for example. Or two days at 100 mcg followed by one day on 120 mcg. Or any combination you like. But, right now, you need more hormone quickly, because with an FT4 that low, your FT3 is probably even lower, and T3 is the active hormone needed by every single cell in your body. So, for you general health, you need to increase your thyroid hormone levels.
